Our mission at AANR West is to provide our members with comprehensive education and support services. We want our members to feel comfortable and secure as they pursue their interests, and we work hard to ensure that they have access to the resources and information they need to do so. Whether it's finding a safe and legal place to enjoy clothing-optional recreation or understanding their rights under the law, our members can count on us to provide them with the guidance and support they need.
But our mission doesn't stop with our members. AANR West also strives to educate the public on the benefits of social nudism. We believe that everyone can experience the joy and freedom that comes from shedding their clothes and embracing their natural selves. We host events that are focused on providing good, healthy family fun, and we welcome individuals of all ages, genders, marital statuses, religious beliefs, ethnic origins, and sexual orientations.

So, if you're looking for a safe and welcoming community where you can explore your interests and find your inner peace, join us at AANR West today!
Quote
“I just think that people are so weird about nudity and the human body. Sex is not bad, naked bodies are not bad, and naked bodies don’t always have to be connected to sex.”

Mountain Air Ranch
Mountain Air Ranch has been the focal point for clothing-free recreation in Colorado since 1935. It is said, that clothes make the man. At Mountain Air Ranch you can lose the clothing and the associated labels that society puts on them. Have you ever wondered why children love to be nude? It’s not just because they can, but because it’s liberating.
Mountain Air Ranch is in the foothills 20 miles southwest of Denver, off Hwy. 285. Members and guests can enjoy the fresh mountain air, the clear blue skies, and a landscape shared with deer, fox, birds, and other native wildlife. You can unwind while hiking the trails or while relaxing by the pool. Exploring the 150 acres of natural beauty, the same way nature made you, is the essence of freedom. https://mountainairranch.org

Sun Tree Travel Club
Sun Tree is a Travel club, one that has no property, nor facilities. In the case of Suntree, we meet:
At the homes of our members for potlucks, swimming, games, hot soaks, conversation
On public lands for camping, hiking, water skiing
In facilities which we rent - lodging at ski resorts, camping at commercial areas, house boating.
We have married people, singles, normal people, eccentric people, nice folks, and various ethnic groups represented. Our main concern is compatibility between the members. For that reason, we suggest attendance at some of our events prior to making a decision to join the club.
Our members live in various places all over New Mexico, west Texas, Arizona, and other locations in the United States and Mexico. This situation makes the "travel" in our name very appropriate since most members have to travel to our events no matter where they might be held. http://suntree.net

Myths about Naturism
Naturism is sexual:
One of the most prevalent myths about naturism is that it is all about sex. In reality, naturism emphasizes body acceptance, self-respect, and a non-sexual social environment.
Naturists are exhibitionists:
Another misconception is that naturists engage in public displays or seek attention. In fact, naturists simply believe in the freedom and comfort of being nude, without any intentions of exhibitionism.
Naturism is illegal:
While laws regarding public nudity vary across different jurisdictions, many places have designated areas, clubs, or resorts where naturism is legally practiced.
Naturists are only interested in physical appearance:
Naturism is more about body acceptance and comfort rather than focusing solely on physical appearance. People of all shapes, sizes, and ages participate in naturist activities.
Naturism is only for older people:
Naturist communities often consist of people from diverse age groups. Although there may be older individuals, there are also many young and middle-aged naturists.
Naturism is confined to specific locations:
Naturism is not limited to designated areas or resorts. People may practice naturism at home, in private spaces, or in designated clothing-optional beaches, clubs, or resorts.
Short Story
Solitude by the Waterfall
In the heart of a vast, untouched wilderness stood an ancient, gushing waterfall. It was a hidden treasure, surrounded by lush, towering trees and carpeted with a bounty of vibrant green moss. This was a place where nature whispered ancient secrets to those willing to listen, a sanctuary where time seemed to stand still. It was here, amidst this natural splendor, that Elara sought solitude, a naturist driven by the desire to connect with the earth in its most unadulterated form.
Elara had journeyed far, guided by the tales of old, seeking the serenity that only such untouched places could offer. She moved gracefully through the underbrush, her steps light, leaving no trace of her passage save for the gentlest impressions upon the moss beneath her feet. Clothed only by the sunlight that danced through the canopy above, Elara embodied the freedom and harmony that came with her deep-seated belief in living as one with nature.
As she approached the waterfall, the roar of cascading water grew louder, an exhilarating symphony that quickened her pulse. The mist that rose from where water met rock greeted her like an ancient guardian of this sacred place, veiling her in a cool, rejuvenating embrace. She stood at the edge of the pool that collected the waterfall's bounty, her eyes closed, her face tilted towards the sky, allowing the pure essence of this secluded haven to saturate her being.
With a reverence born of true connection, Elara stepped into the water. It was cold but invigorating, a lively contrast to the warmth of the sun-kissed air. She swam with graceful strokes towards the heart of the waterfall, each movement a celebration of her unity with the natural world. The water, clear as the air itself, was a medium of pure life, energizing and cleansing.
Beneath the waterfall, she allowed the torrent to cascade over her, a powerful force that was both overwhelming and exhilarating. It was a baptism of sorts, a renewal of her bond with nature that washed away all traces of the artificial world from which she had come. In this moment, Elara was more than just a visitor in nature; she was an integral part of the tapestry of life that enveloped her.
Time passed unmeasured as Elara lingered in the pool, eventually finding her way to a sun-dappled rock to rest. The sound of the waterfall became a meditative chant, grounding her thoughts and allowing her spirit to soar. Surrounded by the profound beauty of this secret place, she reflected on the simplicity of her existence here, where the cycles of nature dictated the rhythm of her days.
As the sun began its descent, casting golden hues upon the water, Elara knew that her time in this sanctum must end, but the peace and clarity she found by the waterfall would remain with her. She dressed in the simplicity of someone who carries the essence of the earth in her heart, leaving behind nothing but ripples in the water and the gentlest impressions in the moss.
Her journey back through the wilderness was a quiet reflection on her communion with the natural world. Elara carried with her an inner tranquility, a solace found only in the solitude by the waterfall, a sacred place where she had danced with the very essence of life itself. This was not a goodbye but a promise of return, for she knew that the waterfall, with its timeless cadence, would always call her back to the heart of the wilderness, to the core of her being.

The Many Names We Take Pride In
Our organization has undergone significant changes over the past few decades, with a focus on providing more detailed and comprehensive descriptions of the locations where we practice and enjoy our nudist lifestyle. While terms such as "nudist colony" or "nudist camp" may have been accurate in the past, we now prefer the use of terms such as "nudist clubs," "parks," or "resorts," which better reflect the diverse and welcoming nature of our community. Additionally, we have adopted new terminology to describe ourselves, including naturists, nudists, or members of clothing-optional organizations, highlighting the positive and respectful aspects of our lifestyle.
We believe that our lifestyle is grounded in basic human rights, such as the freedom to express oneself and the freedom to be comfortable in one's own skin. Our organization is committed to ensuring that these rights are protected and respected, and we work tirelessly to promote acceptance and understanding of our way of life. In addition to advocating for top freedom, social nudism, and family nudity, we also support a range of initiatives aimed at promoting body positivity and inclusivity, including educational programs, community events, and outreach activities. By working together, we can build a more open and accepting society that values diversity and celebrates the beauty of the human form.
